Good Evening Pack 118!!

Tomorrow night at 6:30 pm, we will have a den meeting.  This starts out our last month of meetings before the summer!!  Tomorrow night, you will also receive your Raingutter Regatta kit.  This is different kit than we have used in the past. And will require a bit more work to complete than the past kits.

The Tiger Den will be meeting at McClintock Middle School on Rama Road between the railroad tracks and Monroe Road.  You should meet Robin Williams outside the front doors at 6:30 pm.

The Bear Den will begin work on earning the privilege to carry a knife at certain Cub Scout activities.  The next two meetings will cover the Shavings and Chips portion of the Bear badge and the Whittling chip card.  This requires mandatory participation by parents or guardians, so at least one parent or guardian should be with each boy.  If the adult does not attend tomorrow and the next week’s meeting, then your Bear scout will not be allowed to work with a knife, and will not earn the Whittling Chip card that is required to be carried with his knife at Cub Scout events.

The Webelos and Wolf dens have great meetings planned, so you don’t want to miss them!

Here is our schedule for the remainder of May:

May 5 – Den meeting.  Meet in the Scout room at 6:30 pm sharp

May 12 – Den meeting.  Meet in the Scout room at 6:30 pm sharp

May 19 – Formal Pack Meeting.  Dinner at 6:00 pm(ish) in the Gym.

May 26 – Raingutter Regatta.  Meet in front of the church  about 6:30 pm.  (Actual time to be determined)

Please understand that this is the last month of our Cub Scout year.  All achievements should be completed and entered into CubTrails by May 12.  If you have trouble accessing CubTrails, please see your den leader tomorrow night to ensure you gain access in time to get the achievements entered.

We will have more details about the Formal Pack Meeting and the Raingutter Regatta coming soon.

Yours in Scouting,

Martin Zoutewelle
